2. Adviser Capabilities for Reviewing and Editing Personalized Sections
Why Advisers Can’t Review Personalized Sections
We understand that advisers might want to review personalized sections created by students or others, but there are important reasons why this isn’t possible:
- Responsibility and Liability: If advisers review personalized sections, they and the school could be held responsible for the content. This could lead to unintended consequences.
- Administrative Burden: Reviewing hundreds of personalized sections would add a significant workload for advisers, potentially causing delays and extra costs. Parental Ownership: Parents purchase and own the personalized sections, and it’s their responsibility to review the content.
-
- Privacy and Personalization: Personalized sections are meant to be private and personal. School oversight could compromise this.
Alternative Solution
If the school still wants to review personalized sections, they can ask students and parents to share their login credentials. This way, the school can review the content with the parents’ explicit permission.
